Have you ever made "Golden Milk"? Turmeric root can be used in a variety of ways, but this is one of my favorites. Turmeric is loaded with antioxidants, can help with inflammation and joint pain, brain function and mood, blood sugar levels, and can aid digestion (to name a few).
There are a variety of simple recipes for Golden milk below is one of my favorites as well as a simple way to order already ground root to get your Golden Milk started!
2 cups plain milk. 1 to 3 teaspoons maple syrup or honey, to sweeten (optional)1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/2 teaspoons ground turmeric1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (optional)pinch of black pepper and fine sea salt
